On-site Registration and Race Packet Pick-up at the American Legion Hall, Minocqua

Runners can pick up their race packets on Friday or Saturday at the American Legion Hall.   Pre-registered runners are encouraged to pick-up their packets on Friday to avoid the rush on Saturday morning.

Race Details

  • Runners must be 12 years of age or older
  • 6:15-6:30 AM: shuttle busses leave from Flambeau Street at American Legion
  • 7:30 AM: race starts
  • Must maintain 15 minute pace.  Course will close at 10:30 AM
  • Chip timed
  • Start is 1/2 mile from X of Bearksin Trail with Lakewood Rd. at Goodnow, 12 miles south of Minocqua
  • Bags for belongings will be provided
  • Port-a-potties will be at trailhead
  • Restrooms at halfway point near Blue Lake Rd.
  • Trail is packed crushed granite
  • Minimal elevation changes
  • All miles are clearly marked
  • Eight water/energy snack stations every 1.6 – 2.1 miles along the 13.1 mile run
  • Spectator viewing area at X near Jacobi’s Restaurant and at S. Blue Lake Rd
  • Ambulance and aid station at finish line
  • Food/refreshments at finish, Torpy Park
  • Pre and post race massages available

Half Marathon Awards- 10 AM

  • Racers completing run receive a custom 1st year medal or a “year pin”
  • Top 3 men and top 3 women receive custom medal
  • top 3 in each age group receive custom pin
  • age divisions are 12-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 +
Half marathon runners will be bused to the start. Make sure to allow enough time before the race to catch your ride to the start.

The course runs from point to point on the Bearskin Trail. The route is a rails -to-trail path that winds past lakes and streams on the way to a finish in Minocqua. Runners will love this trail!!!
